Frequently Asked Questions

  • The first day is Thursday, August 7.

  • We would love for your family to attend Meet the Teacher night on Tuesday, August 5. This is a great time to meet your child’s teacher, fill out additional information for school, and turn in school supplies. Students in 5th- 12th grade will pick up their class schedules at Meet the Teacher Night.

The event is come-and-go, and the times are staggered in case you need to go to multiple campuses.

    Meet the Teacher Times:

    • Secondary 4-6 p.m.
    • Elementary 5-7 p.m.

  • Dress codes at Rapoport Academy are in place to support learning. Students must dress appropriately “so that clothing is neither revealing nor detracts from learning.” Students who choose to dress inappropriately will be required to change clothes or go home for the day.

Specifics for each campus’ dress codes are outlined in our district student handbook available here

  • All returning families have already completed the online re-enrollment form before school lets out. Other new school year forms will be ready for families at Parent Orientation and Meet the Teacher Night. Families new to Rapoport will complete enrollment paperwork over the summer prior to orientation and Meet the Teacher.

  • To ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) requires physical examinations before participation in school athletics. Below are answers to common questions about UIL physicals.

    Who needs a UIL Physical?

    • Students entering their first and third years of high school are required to have a physical exam.

    • Students entering seventh grade for the first time who wish to participate in sports must also complete a physical.

    • A physical is also mandatory for any athlete trying out for a new sport or returning to sports after a significant break.

Where can I get the UIL Physical Form?

You can access and download the official UIL Physical form. Please ensure a healthcare professional completes this form.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact:

  • Schedules will be ready at Meet the Teacher Night on Tuesday, August 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Secondary campus.

  • Rapoport Academy students in Pre-K – 8th grade are eligible to register for the RAPS After School program. Students are considered enrolled in the after-school program only after parents have completed the online registration and paid the fees.

  • Not at this time. We understand the importance of safety and security on campus and we continuously evaluate and update our safety measures to ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.

  • Check out this Welcome to 5th Grade video for students and families.

In fifth grade, students move to a six-class period schedule. They have a homeroom teacher who is your primary point of contact along with Mrs. Williams, the 5th grade admin assistant.

Teachers will keep in touch through Parent Square during the year about homework, tests, and other academic activities.

You will get your student’s class schedule at Meet the Teacher night.
